won't you please.... Coffee Me Darling

Definitely one of the more catchy cafe names around... Coffee Me Darling
Situated along one of the busiest main road of SS2 - Jalan SS2/24, the landmark is the RHB bank at the corner of the traffic light junction. 

Our first visit was actually without Bella, went around looking for dessert after an unsatisfying dinner. So thought we give this place a try... Since it has been getting good reviews. 

The first impression was good... walking into a cosy well designed cafe. Though the staff could have been more friendly, then again everyone have their off days. Doesn't matter, as the menu looked better than their sour faces... 

The cakes caught my attention, pretty pretty colours... but when the staff said that they had a Durian Cake (kept inside the kitchen to avoid the smell) - I was SOLD !

Sigh....... I was fooled by the fragrant smell of the Durian. The sponge flavored cake was dry. What a waste of durians, enough said !

Knowing that this cafe was dog friendly... we returned about a week later for dinner, with Bella ! 

Of course, we sat outside, for hygiene and regulation purpose - since we had Bella with us. Bella was on Guard Dog Mode that night... ever so attentive to the passing human traffic. Which made it the safest shop on the street.

It actually isn't too bad sitting outside, weather at night was fine. They have enough fans on to keep the place cool, while we dine there. As we waited for our food, it is always interesting to see the random reactions from the people passing by. From the adoration for Bella, to those that even jumped in shocked knowing she was there. 

The staff were OK with Bella there, with the usual - "Wah... so big ! What dog is this ?"

Though none of them gave her the attention she hoped for...aside from ever hoping for food, on and from the table.

Spaghetti Lamb Bolognese 

The lamb bolognese sauce was really good, rather rich and loving the lamb taste. But only setback was it wasn't enough...very kiamsiap with the sauce. That left the whole spaghetti rather dry, probably just another spoonful of sauce will KILL it !

Almost always I will order hot mocha, as benchmark at all the cafes I go... This wasn't that bad actually, thick strong coffee with a good mix of the chocolate. If only it was consistence throughout the whole cup. After half cup, the coffee started to taste diluted... 

So overall for us... it was quite a miss. 

The second visit did not really redeem the disappointment of the Durian Cake... It will be a few more months before we re-visit this cafe.
