Hello to all our Dog Loving Friends...

We have been compiling a list of dog friendly places which we have visited together with Bella. These places include cafes, restaurants and even some random places including a beach resort. We have been sharing our Google Doc Excel list with many on Facebook... Here is the link; Bella Rott Bites List

So what's next ? As they say, Sharing is Caring... To reach out to the masses, a blog would be the best option forward. Since we have already been toying with the idea a few months back, I have actually already created this blogspot URL but left it dormant.

We will update the blog as and when new places are explored, and when time permits... we will rewrite the previous places visited.

Introduction to Bella...
Bella, was born in the month of May 2012... which makes her 3+ years old now. Estimated in dog years, she is now a fullgrown lady. And a lady she is... She is as gentle as a teddy bear despite her intimidating large size, traits she takes after her father

Bella was the last puppy left from her litter, kind of like the ugly duckling story... Her father is of showline breed / heritage, and her brother from an earlier litter was crowned Malaysian Champion (Mal. Ch.) by MKA. I guess physically, Bella wasn't the best looking girl of the litter. But that didn't matter, we weren't looking for a show dog.

What surprised us most was the temperament of both her father and older brotherThis meant Bella had the right foundation to be a calm and good temperament Rottweiler, it was after all, written in her DNA. Still, her "training" started since she was a puppy. She would follow us out to random cafes for food, usually when we went for dessert or coffee. That was both her socialisation training interaction with humans in public and anti-car motion sickness training.

::what's up::

So over 3 years now since we had Bella with us, after going through proper obedience training and what we would think is the right socialisation skills. Bella is what we want a Rottweiler to be, calm and perfectly fine in public - despite still scaring a few others along the way. Her size alone is enough to scare people away, which is good. If she has to growl and/or bark... can't imagine what then.

::Cute::

Look at her, how could anyone possibly be scared of that face ?

We constantly look for new dog friendly places to go with Bella. With Internet as our base reference, many times we just try our luck and walk in...politely ask if they will take us with Bella. Most of the times we are welcome, but still, a few places have turned us down due to Bella's sheer size, and maybe cause she is a Rottweiler. Those places will never be on our list - that is for sure !

Do follow us on our journey, discovering new dog friendly places. Most importantly, places that do not discriminate against big dogs in general... and the 'ferocious killer' breed, Rottweiler.
